Summer Sixes Double Header Day 2026
McFly Lacrosse Summer Sixes Double Header Day! The McFly Lacrosse Summer Sixes Play Day is a casual, one-day lacrosse event for Indiana lacrosse players (boys and girls) of any skill level looking to play two affordable games locally on Saturday, July 11, 2026. All players will get at least two games of the Olympic-style Sixes format of lacrosse indoors at the Grand Park Events Center, making the event weather-proof. The registration cost is $45 per player and free for goalies.
Age Groups
- Girls: 10U (2034, 2035, and expereinced 2036), 12U (2032 & 2033), 14U (2030 & 2031)
- Boys: 10U (2034, 2035, and expereinced 2036), 12U (2032 & 2033), 14U (2030 & 2031)
- This event will use USA Lacrosse’s 12-month age chart (for play occurring between September 01, 2025 – August 31, 2026) to create our age divisions
- Players are not allowed to play down.
- Players may play up one age division only if they are in the second year of their age division. McFly Lacrosse will make the final determination.
Individual Player Registration & Auto Draft
- All players will register individually and then be carefully drafted onto balanced teams for the day to create the most fun and fair teams possible. McFly Lacrosse will use the registered players’ age, experience level, desired position, and any known history to create balanced teams
- Each age division will be capped at 48 players with a maximum roster size of 12 players
General Schedule
- 10U Games (boys & girls)
- Game 1: 9:15 am or 10:00 am
- Game 2: at 10:45 am (if Game 1 is lost) or 11:30 am (if Game 1 is won)
- 12U Games (boys & girls)
- Game 1: 12:15 pm or 1:00 pm
- Game 2: 1:45 pm (if Game 1 is lost) or 2:30 pm (if Game 1 is won)
- 14U Games (boys & girls)
- Game 1: 3:15 pm or 4:00 pm
- Game 2: 4:45 pm (if Game 1 is lost) or 5:30 pm (if Game 1 is won)
Sixes Format & Rules
- Two 15-minute, running clock halves with a 5-minute halftime.
- The Sixes format is 6-on-6 lacrosse (including the goalie) played on a shorter field.
- Everyone is essentially a middie
- Offside is only true if a team’s goalie crosses the midline
- There’s a 30-second shot clock
- Out of bounds is always a turnover (no chasing shots)
- Goalie clears the ball after every goal
- Substitutions are made on the fly
- There are only two faceoffs/draws per game (at the start and halftime)
- Boys-Specific Rules
- No Body Checking
- No Long Poles (short sticks only)
- Girls-Specific Rules
- No Shooting Space Penalties; however, defenders are still prohibited from forming a wall, stacking in front of the goal, or playing strictly physically. Defenders can only guard closely (a stick length) in the area immediately in front of the goal
- No 3-Second Defensive Rule
- No Penalty Arcs

- We need parent coaches! Contact us at frontoffice@mcflylacrosse.com if interested. Once confirmed, we’ll send parent coaches a free registration code for your son or daughter.
Play-Day Pinnie/Jersey Requirement
- All players are required to wear the 10th Anniversary Max Lax Pinnie/Jersey. We have both male-style pinnies and female-style, racerback pinnies available! If you already have a jersey that fits you, you do not need to order another one. If you do not currently own one (or have outgrown one), you will need to order a jersey during registration.
